Morning Brew, a popular business newsletter, bought Our Future, a short-form video media company that covers business news for a Gen-Z audience, in January 2023. Michael Sikand launched Our Future as a podcast in 2020 before shifting to short-form video in 2021. Its principal outlets are YouTube Shorts and TikTok, and it now has over 450,000 subscribers on YouTube and roughly 470,000 on TikTok over two accounts.

Sikand and his colleague Simran Sandhu also established a consultancy firm that provided social media strategy advice to firms such as HubSpot and StartEngine. The cofounders opted against collecting funding for the firm in early 2022 because they had ""discovered a means to monetize successfully through the agency segment."" Morning Brew did not reveal the sum paid to buy Our Future.
