Yuga Labs Pitch Deck Used to Raise $450 Million in Seed Funding

Yuga Labs Background

Yuga Labs (YL) is riding the wave of Non Fungible Token (NFT) market. Yuga Lab is the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club (aka BAYC), which is a collection of more than ten thousand Bored Ape NFT's. Yuga Labs founded by Wylie Aronow and Greg Solano, announced on March 22, 2022 that they have raised $450 million in seed round funding from Andreessen Horowitz at a $4 billion valuation.

Yes, this is an absurd amount of capital raised, understanding that the seed rounds usually tap out around $6 million at the high end. Even more mind boggling is that Miami-based Yuga Labs has not raised capital before, albeit have created so much buzz that venture capital firms have been itching to get a piece of YL and their BAYC offerings.

Even before rasing any funds, YL has acquired assets like CryptoPunks and Meebits from Larva Labs and launched their own crypto currency labeled ApeCoin. All this is intended to materialize on the YL's version of metaverse, dubbed the Otherside

In their pitch deck, YL shows a roadmap, which highlights the gaps in the current metaverse approach and how YL plans to address it with a MetaRGP. YL believes that unlike other siloed, disjoined metaverses, YL's metaverse is a story driven, community driven gaming platform. There is also a software development kit (SDK), that will offer developers the ability to build for any community. YL believes success is imminent, as NFT community already lives the world of web3 and YL's platform is enabling them reach new economies.
