Bigblue Raises $15 million in Series A Funding for Direct To Customer Order Fulfillment Service

Bigblue, a French startup, provides an order fulfillment platform to its direct-to-consumer (D2C) firms, so whilst D2C firms focus on product and marketing, Bigblue manages all the logistics.

The startup currently operates in 3 countries, has partnerships with 5 different warehouses and integrates with more than 20 different carriers, enabling it ship across Europe. Bigblue is also integrated with popular sales channels such as Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix, as well as various marketplaces, including Amazon. Overall, Bigblue has a customer base of at least 300 customers and plans on shipping 4 million packages this year.

The D2C firms using Bigblue services, can ship their products directly to Bigblue warehouses, where they are stored and managed by Bigblue. Bigblue lets users customize their packaging to personalize the experience for end customers. If customer are not satisfied, they can file a return request on a branded return portal for store credit or refunds. Bigblue goal is to offer an Amazon-like experience, but with a third-party logistics stack. 

Bigblue has announced $15 million Series A funding and according to co-founder/CEO Tim Dumain, “With this new round we will support scaling service offerings for Bigblue’s growing base of online merchants, fuel hiring efforts, and continue to position the company as the leader in the D2C fulfillment space,”.  

Over the next 12 months, the startup plans to hire 100 additional employees and expand across Western Europe.
